Ruling an Empire
According to the text, the Romans benefited from not forcing their way of life on conquered people. In your own words, what does that mean? Had they forced their way of life on others, what may have happened? Write a paragraph (about 100) about these topics and post them to the blog.

The Romans decided not to force how they live and they’re religions and customs on other people. This was important because if they had, people would not have wanted to change and this could have started a war against Rome. Romans were allowing people who weren’t like them freedom of religion and customs. I think the Romans were very smart for doing this, considering all of the wars started in ancient times because of people trying to change other people’s ways of living, religions, traditions, and customs. Rome could have been conquered if other forces joined together that were angry with Rome.

The romans did not force they ask the people to join there group and they probably wanted people to keep their customs and traditions good. If they force people to live the way they do I think there would be a lot of war and fighting. There would be no peace and the lands and no one would be happy and no freedom. Plus all the other lands would rise against the Romans.that would of probaly if they forced their way of life.
That means to me that they had more peace in their lives. I think that they had more peace in their lives because the people didn’t have to be what the Romans were. They could be free on religion and not have to change who they were or how they lived. I think if they would have forced their religion and beliefs that the people would have fought them and moved away to somewhere else where they could be themselves. I also think that they would have told others not to go be around them if they didn’t want to believe in what the Romans believed in or their religion.
I think the Romans decided this because they didn't want to force that person to live by their religon, and not to cause a battle between the conquered people and them selves.I also think they wanted to make peace with the people they conquered, because if they did they could use them against other people or empires when they would fight over land.If they forced their way of life on the people they conquered then they wouldn't have any peace or have help in conquering more people from other empires.I also think that if they would have forced their religon or their way of life against the conquered people, the people might get together and plan an attack on the Romans.
In the text, the Romans did not force their "way of life" on conquered people. This means that the Romans did not make the conquered people live the same way as the Romans. The people did not have to change how they lived just because they lost a war. If Rome had forced the conquered people to live their way, there wouldn't be many different cultures because Rome is very powerful. Rome could easily win many wars and battles. Not forcing their way of life was a good decision because it kept the different cultures and traditions of other parts of the world.
The Romans did not force their way of life on conquered people. If they would have a lot of Italy would polytheistic because that’s the religion the Romans practiced.
Also if the people the Romans conquered had been forced to change their traditions they probably would have revolted, and if the Romans made them change their ways than they a lot of cultural traditions and languages would have been lost. It would have been a complete disaster if the Romans made the people they conquered change their ways of life.
I think they decided not to force anything because it could start a war. Like if they forced people to do stuff, like to practice other religions and customs. It's also good because if the Romans had made the people change their different ways of like languages an cultures there could be fights because if they did force that then the people might stop practicing their cultures, different languages, and religions. And then the Romans life would change because they arent learning the things they need to.
Romans didn't force themselves on the conquered people for a lot of good reasons. One reason is that they wanted to not have problems but to be free. If they had forced the conquered people to do there religions and customs it probably would of started a war or battle. The way they planned this was planned properly with not making other do what they do. It would be a lot of work to turn all the conquered people into there traditions, culture, religion, and much more. Therefore the way they took forth the conquered people was smart and generous to the people that would of been very upset. With there help they made peace with the conquered people.
