Geographical Advantages of Rome
In class we discussed the geographical advantages of Rome. Those mentioned in class were: 1. proximity to water, 2. fertile soil, and 3. presence of mountains and hills. In your post, explain why one of those three factors was so important using specific details. For instance, why was proximity to water so important? Then, I want you to list and describe a few (at least two) geographic advantages of where you live. Your post should be around one hundred words.

the most important geographical advantages of rome would the mountains and the hills because there is food ,shelter and water .where you can get the is by hunting and the water would be like a stream or an river. the shelter would be you have to build something out of wood.The two Geographical Advantages would be the mountains and hills and the the stream or river.
Being close to water was important to Rome because if you are close to water, you have water, trade, food. If you are close to water you will have water avaliable at all times. You can also trade with others close to the water. Food would also be easy to get because of fish.
The advantages to living where I do could be that there are trains and that I live near river. Trains being close to where I live could help with travel to places for people who can't afford cars. Living near a river is helpful because it's water.
I think that the most important geographical advantages of Rome would of been the water. Water was important because it was easier for trade, food, travel, and drinking.
Another important geographical advantage for Rome is the Fertile Soil because it was easier to plant food, plants, and crops.
Some advantages of living here would be the river because we can have water available around us at all times no matter what. One more advantage of living here would be the fertile soil too. And we also have helpers, which is the mushroom fertilizer. It is nutritions for out plants and food that we grow.
I think the water would be the most important to them because they have to use it for many different reasons. They could use it for crops so they can water the plants, they also could use it for transportation to get to place to place they could use it for trading different things back and fourth, they can use it for cooking different things, and the last thing they can use it for could be is for bathing. There are mountains that surround my house and help keep away high winds that could cause a tornado I do not have any water around my house but I do have pretty good soil for planting crops.
The most important geographical advantage is the water because they would need water to drink and would be able to catch fish to eat and the water would be useful for travel and to trade. Another geographical advantage is the mountains and hills to provide protection and you would be able to hunt for food to eat and you could also build a shelter out of the wood their and other things avaible. The last geographical advantage is the fertile soil for the food plants and crops.
Some of the advantges of living here is that we always have water around us and we have good crops witch means we would always have food.
There are many different ways in which water can benefit Ancient Rome. If you live near the water it is easy to travel from island to lsiand. Another reason it benefits Ancient Rome is that you can trade goods easier. Also it can benefit Ancient Rome by expanding their empire. Lastly, it can benefit Ancient Rome by expanding the battle field. There are some ways in which the geographical advantages in Pennsylvania can benefit me. One way is that there are woods and forests with good hunting grounds. Another way is the mountains protect us from big storms. One last way is that there are natural springs in the mountains.
the important geographical advantages would be the water because every one would need it to survive and they can take some with them where every they go. and pulse the solider need water in battle for energy and they would also need it to feed there horse.A another one is the mountains because they can protect them from and enemies or big waves that can attack or hit them.Also crops was important to because they can grow plants and eat them they can also use it to trade for water or any other things like weapons or water and thing like that.
I think the most important geogarphical advantage of Rome would be the moutains and hills. One reason is shelter because their enemys would have a hard time climbing over it or finding another way around. Another reason is the streams in the mountains so they can drink and hunt for fish. Fertile soil is important where I live so I can grow stuff.
It is important to be close to water because you need water to live. You need water to grow plants. You also need it to feed and grow animals. So without water we would not be able to eat so we would eventually die. I live right next to a stream so if i needed water that bad i could get some. There is a hill next to my house so it wont flood. These are the advantages of living next to a creek we could also user the water to feed animals or grow crops.
In Rome the geogragpical features include the water,soil, and mountains and hills. The most feature i think is the mountains because they were good for when thay had war and they could hide in between them for protection of themselves.Also, they had the water because they were good for transporting goods . Last, the water was good for the most obvious to get something to drink.I think that where i live the advantages are:
1. The mounatins
2. The water or lake near my house
3. It is also well equipped with agencies that represent civilization at it's best-churches, hospitals, clubs, fraternal societies, recreational centers. schools and colleges, a historical society, an art institute as well as a daily newspaper. That is how where i live has advantages.
